FREAKY

Whitney doesn’t try to dress everyone the same way or try to make everyone look cool. She tells a story through her costumes. It was fun to collaborate with her and to dig into who each character was.

Ali Plumb: And I just really like the fact that you know he's a psycho because it's the long t-shirt, short t-shirt combo.

Vince Vaughn: Yes

Ali Plumb: I mean, that's the red flag.

Vince Vaughn: When there's one by themselves, it's unclear what this person's worldview is. But once you put that Reese's Pieces of a Wardrobe together, oh boy. Oh, goodness.

The wardrobe as well is top-notch, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to learn that the trademark red jacket that Millie’s body wears becomes a Halloween costume staple in the coming years.
— Reyna Cervantes

Because of the movie’s campy tone, red is a motif, in the blood-stained Universal logo, the title cards for each date, and the red leather jacket the Butcher wears as a cooler, edgier version of Millie — a big contrast to the drab sweaters original Millie wore.

I got to be an extra in the film - “Doris the lunchlady!”
